Director General of the Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency (BEQA), Dr. Terna Francis has inaugurated a committee for the Festival of Book and Arts, scheduled to place in September this year.

Dr Terna, says the committee is tasked with overseeing activity to mark this year's International Day for Literary aimed to encourage and reward creativity.
Inaugurating the committee, Dr. Francis revealed that the event will feature a Poetry and Short Stories Prizes, where entries will be received from school children between the ages of 12 and 20.

The director general says the festival is just the beginning of a journey that they hope will continue for years to come to motivate and encourage a generation of indigenous writers and put Benue State on the global map as a hub for creativity and artistic expression

In his remark, a member of the committee, Mr. Igba Ogbole, lauded the the director - general for the initiative noting that will nurture
talents and inspire the next generation of literary minds.
